Due to adverse weather conditions, Centaure Production, the organiser and producer of the 5 Etoiles de Pau, has decided to postpone the start of the event. Riders will enter the arena tomorrow (Friday 24 October) at 9:30 am for the first test of this equestrian triathlon: dressage.
Jonelle Price of New Zealand and her magnificent black mare Grappa Nera will therefore open the 2025 edition. This is a daunting task for the winners of the 2022 edition. Her husband Tim will perform his test a few minutes later. Each has three different horses at their disposal, and given their talent, they are certainly contenders for overall victory.
The reigning individual world champion, Yasmin Ingham (GBR), will start at 11:04 am sharp, while her compatriot, the individual bronze medallist at the 2025 European Championships, Tom McEwen, will appear at 2:07 pm.
The first French competitor to enter into the arena will be Astier Nicolas. Having won in 2015 with Piaf de B’Neville (with whom he went on to win two Olympic medals at the Rio Olympics), he will be presenting his grey gelding Dirty Old Town at this level of competition for the very first time.
The day will end at 5:22 pm with Tim Price (NZL)’s third horse, the beautiful Jarillo, appearing.See below for the dressage starting list.
